Animal Card

Hello All...I've got a new card for you today! I swear I never even open a pack of DSP (that's designer series paper for you newbies, hehe) until it retires. So while you can no longer get this adorable animal paper, you can still admire this gorgeous card. This paper is so cute its hard for me to even cover an inch of it! But I did make a punch art flower so that I could add my sentiment. And since y'all know my fiance likes to see the inside decorated (he always looks in there when I show him my cards, even though I consistently say "there's nothing in there! its blank till you write in it!" he still always looks!), so I've started this interior decorating thing...ya know, when I have the time and get around to it. :-)
I did a whole series of cards with this paper last night but this one was my favorite.
So, what do you think???

Cocktails in the Summer

This is a card I created for a summer picnic themed care package I sent to my fiance who is currently deployed. Since you can't send alcohol, I figured a cocktail card was the next best thing.
I love the butterflies, can you tell? They just show up on everything these days!
What's your favorite summer cocktail? I need a little drink-spiration! lol :-)

Double Birthday

My parents actually have the same birthday, which just happens to fall on Father's Day this year! So needless to say, Sunday is a big day for my family.

Here's the card I made for my dad for his birthday:That little word bubble, it use to say "thanks a latte" but I really wanted to use it for this b-day card. So, I used my Stampin Write Markers to draw out the word bubble and the put the sentiment of Happy Birthday in. I used dimensionals to pop it up. This is by far one of my favorite cards I've made in a while. (And I'm finally using up this dsp! yay!).

The next card is the one I made for my mom....
I just love the sweetness of the cupcake stamp and its definitely a color combination I've never tried before. I just got that pink gingham ribbon off the SU! clearance rack a couple weeks ago (see, I'm breaking it out early in the game!).

So, which card is your favorite?

Father's Day 2010

So, my lovely blogging friend (Betty) has inspired me to try and update this thing a little more frequently. LOL. She has a great blog where she is doing 365 projects, check it out here http://stampinbetty.wordpress.com/. Her blog is AMAZING!!!

Anywho, here's the father's day cards I have created for my dad and future father-in-law. I just put them in the mail today, so hopefully they won't be peaking over here on my blog!
Do you see the top note? That's in the wood sheets that SU! sells. I've had them for about a year and am just breaking into the pack now (what can I say, I'm a bit of a hoarder).

Here's a couple detail shots for you:
What do you think? What are you doing for your dad for Father's day?

Anniversary Card

My future in-laws celebrated their 31st anniversary this week. So, I took another of the Mojo Monday challenges from last month and designed this card.

I love the bold bright colors of it, and especially love the bow! Bows just make me smile :-)
Thanks for checking out my creation today, and for all the comments on my last post.

Take care and happy stamping.

Card Challenges: I'm Back!

"Bad blogger" ::smacks hand with stamp pad::

Sorry, I've been awful at updating my blog! But, really, I promise this time, I'm gonna try to be better. I have made quite a few things lately.

You see, my best friend and lovely bridesmaid, Samantha, and I are doing a little card swap twice a month. We base it off of the sketches called Mojo Monday.

Here's one I've made for this month.

Maybe if I get some comments, I'll post again tomorrow? ::wink::

Birthday Shaker Card

This is a card I made for my FGMIL's birthday. It uses the sweet centers set.
I used Crazy for Cupcake's balloon for the background. I'm loving these new treat cups. Now if only we'd get some cold weather so I could mail some chocolate in them!

Fall Thanks

I pre-ordered this Autumn Splendor set (one of the perks of being a demo!!!) and just recently had a chance to ink it up. I love the set's detailing...its beautiful, and the second I saw it in the mini I knew I had to have it. And this is what I came up with....

I thought it'd be a great thank you card, especially with the fall colors! Can you believe its already September?!?!? I CANT! Now of course it wouldn't be a Rebecca card without a little love on the inside....

This is what I created for the inside. Something simple, but it definitely adds a special touch. I stamped the image in Real Red and then used a blender pen with the More Mustard for these accents.

What do you think? Comments make my day!!!

A Cocktail Birthday

I made this lovely cocktail inspired card for my friend Kathy's birthday.

I didn't have the Real Red marker, so I used the paper piecing technique to do the cherries and strawberries. It definitely adds a special touch. And the new scallop oval punch is fabulous!!!! The colors are definitely very summer-y too...love it!

Thanks for stopping by. <3

Samantha's Shower

I decorated this lunch box tin for my best friend Samantha's bridal shower.

I filled the box with decorated Elegant Notes for her to send as Thank Yous. I forgot to take a pic of those (darn it). I love the colors in this DSP! Soft and subtle, and very romantic. Don't you think?

Textured Card

I love my Big Shot! Using the texturez plates I can make any of my SU! papers have added texture....it adds a whole other dimension to the card.
The Parisian Breeze DSP (retired) in this card is also textured. Gosh I love that paper.
I always need tons of Thank You notes, so this is just one of the many in my stash!

Thanks for stopping by.

Sponge Bob Birthday

I made this birthday card for my friend Kathy's daughter's birthday. She was turning 7 and had a Sponge Bob themed party. I think it turned out quite well! My newest thing is to decorate the insides of my cards...this is what I did on the inside:

I've been MIA for a while, but I'll try to get back into the swing of posting soon.
Enjoy!

CASE!

The lovely Ms. Pam Browne showed us a card at my upline's last downline meeting (thats a mouthful!) that I just knew I had to case! I absolutely loved it, and I'm always looking for unique card designs. Here's a pic of Pam's project:Amazing right? I know! Click over to Pam's Blog to see more of her creations.

Now, here is the card I made using Pam's idea. I used the Parisian Breeze DSP (which is retiring this month, so let me know if you need some ASAP).

A little more detailed....Hope you enjoyed this creation. Check back again soon for more new projects, cards, and gift ideas!

Three Little Words & Three Little Roses

Here's a card I made for my parents who live in Florida. These are the planned colors for my upcoming wedding so I really like playing around with them and seeing what I can come up with. I'm seeing possible Thank You cards in my head...hehe.

I love it and hope you do too!

Comfort Food

These are just a few 3x3 cards I made this week. I've never really played with this size before, but I felt like to really highlight this stamp set I needed to do a smaller card.

I made this "donut be sad" card for my colleague Kathy who just got back from vacation.
This one I made for my fiance. He'd had a rough day and I knew a card would make him smile...especially one with a silly little pun like this.

The stamp set is Comfort Food a level 1 hostess set (you can get this set for free with a $150 order! Contact me for details). The patterned paper is something I got from a fellow stamper so I don't know who makes it. The cardstock is an old in color I had on hand that matched the paper fairly well I thought.

Leave a comment and tell me what you think! Oh...and maybe what you're favorite comfort food is...mine is Chocolate! yummy!

Flowers Flowers Everywhere

This cute little box is what I gave my mother for Mothers Day. You can find a tutorial for this adorable box on my wonderful upline, Lisa Freeman's blog.

I filled the box with some custom cards and stationary using another of my favorite sets; Upsy Daisy.

Spring Brings Roses

First let me tell you...I am OBSESSED with SU!'s Fifth Avenue Floral set. I love it! It never leaves my desk, and its always ALWAYS inky.

Here is the card I created for my Mom and my wonderful Future Mother-In-Law for Mother's Day.

You can find a tutorial for this base of this project on Stephanie Luman's blog.
I played with the roses a bit to get some different dimensions. I cut each one on different lines and assembled them with dimensionals....here's a detail shot:
The ingredients for this card include: Riding Hood Red CS, Pink Piroutte CS, Candy Cane Lane DSP, Kraft DSP, Whisper White CS, and some lovely silver brads.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to comment and let me know what you think! :-)

Our Love Story

Here's a pic of a project I've been working on for a couple of weeks now.
I used some SU! Designer Series Paper and the 08-09 IN Colors. The SU! Organza ribbon finally arrived today so I could finish it off!
Enjoy a few close-ups....
And here's the back....I covered the chipboard but havent decided what photos I'm gonna be using for it.

**These pictures are all from the weekend that we went to the Outer Banks of NC and got engaged**

Crazy for Cupcakes --with IN Colors

Ahh the evolution of a card. You look and its "almost done"...its missing something...not sure what...

This card was for a sketch challenge so I looked back at the sketch and realized it needed some ribbon!
And then I thought....I need some more of this Tangerine color to tie it all together....so I ended up with this:
What do you think?

A Card...Personalized

This is an card I made for my DBF's parents. It is their 30th wedding anniversary, so I wanted to incorporate their wedding pic and a recent pic.I used Urban Garden DSP (my favorite) as well as some Night of Navy & Basic Gray cardstock. The sentiment is embossed in silver.
