Cards for Kids: Valentines Challenge

Valentines! Yup, tomorrow is February 1st, which means Valentines day is only 2 weeks away! You better get crackin'. hehe.

These are some valentines I made for a great project called 1000 Valentines: Cards for Kids Challenge. These will be going to the Children's Hospital in Michigan.

The kids will be exchanging handmade cards from various cardmakers across the country. I've got to pop all these in the mail tomorrow, but I thought you might want to see a few before I do.

If you are interested in getting involved in this project visit http://rubbermaid.blogspot.com/
Thanks for stopping by! Lots more on my cards and creations coming very soon!

A Card for Grandma

My boyfriend's grandmother's birthday is this weekend, so of course I was charged with the task of making the PERFECT card.

I love my Upsy Daisey set (its one I turn to quite often for all occasions). And it goes so well with the Urban Garden DSP...LOVE IT. (and everytime I use a piece I tell myself 'I have got to order more of this!' --yes, I love it that much).

I love the color combo of the green and blues, but I did think it needed a little pink, so I added the brads for a bit of a POP.

I also stamped the back, since too often people don't realize I've made their card...
I got this stamp out of my lovely Demo, Lisa's, goodie basket. You can check out her blog at: www.stampingwithlisa.com
(I'm hoping to be joining her downline very soon)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Masculine Miss You

A masculine card!...sorta

A masculine 'missing you' card...or atleast as 'masculine' as I get. Still can't resist putting a saying inside a card, so Flight of the Butterfly set always saves the day for me.

Life is Good

I loved this set and I am so sad that it just retired! This is just a simple card I made for my little brother's birthday.

This set is not only great as a focal point for cards, but its also great for your scrapbooks. Endless possibilities.

Happy Anniversary...to me

Yesterday was my boyfriend and my 2 year anniversary. Although he was away (the Navy calls), we did celebrate last week. I made him this card with the Seasons of Friendship set and Love Owl-Ways.
I was so proud of this card and it was very hard for me not to show it to him before I gave it to him (I always run out of my stamp room when I'm done making something and show him, hehe).

When I finally gave him the card he suprised me with...a card he made for me! He even went in my stamp room and read the bottle of stamp cleaner and how to use the stamp'n'scrub...AMAZING! Hopefully he wont get too mad at me for posting this...but its just so cute, I can't resist:

Sorry I haven't posted in a while...but more posts to come really soon!
